When you're packing up your things in preparation for moving into your new condos in Toronto, why waste boxes, packing tape, time, and effort packing up things that you no longer use? Think of your move as an opportunity to start fresh without all your useless baggage weighing you down. If you're wondering what you should do with all the junk that you'd like to discard from your old life, the answer of course it to donate it to charity where it can help someone and stay out of a landfill.

You may find that some of the things you find in the disused corners of your Plano real estate are actually things you've been looking for, so sort through your old junk carefully. Make several piles: one to throw away, one to donate, and one to keep. Throw away anything that is broken, missing pieces, or in such shabby condition that even a charity would be embarrassed to sell it to someone. Donating such items will only waste volunteers' time.

If you have old soft furnishings that you want to get rid of, such as stuffed toys, pillows, sofas, and bedding, they may or may not be accepted at the charity you have chosen due to concerns over bedbugs, so check first. If these items are clean and pest free, you may be able to give them to a friend or family member for their Thornhill condos instead. Smaller items should be cleaned first.

Do your sorting well in advance of having to move into the homes for sale in Brampton that you bought to avoid cluttering up moving day. Many urban charity stores will pick up your items, but only if you schedule a pickup time for their regular route, so leave enough time for them to get there - generally at least a week. Alternatively if you have a car or truck you can drive them to the dropoff site yourself. Some chain thrift stores that accept donated items include Value Village, Frenchy's, and the Salvation Army.

If you don't have time to schedule a pickup and can't drop your items off before you have to move into the home you bought off the Bolton real estate listings, you can always put your items out in your usual garbage pickup spot and allow neighbors and passers-by to take anything that catches their eye. This is particularly common in college neighborhoods.
